Centrica Business Solutions wins 2018 Acquia Engage Award for B2B Digital Marketing

Iselin, NJ (November 9, 2018) – Centrica Business Solutions has been named the winner of the “2018 Acquia Engage Awards for Excellence in Digital Marketing B2B”. The Acquia Engage Award, which was won alongside IBM iX at an event in Austin, Texas, celebrates the world-class digital experiences that organizations are building with the Acquia Platform.

The accolades recognize the work of the business’ global marketing team, who released regional websites in nine new market places in five languages over 12 months to support expansion into new geographies. As part of the project, more than 15 customer relationship management tools and five content management systems were consolidated into one platform.

“Centrica Business Solutions has been established to provide large energy users with end-to-end solutions to help them better manage and control their energy use. The successful roll out of Centrica’s distributed energy & power business has been supported by the deployment of our nine regional Centrica Business Solutions websites,” said Sam Hoyland, Commercial Operations & Marketing Director at Centrica Business Solutions. “Over 65 percent of visitors return to the sites, with some markets’ visitor numbers reflecting 15 times higher since the launch of the Centrica Business Solutions brand.”

More than 100 submissions were received from Acquia customers and partners, from which 15 were selected as winners. Nominations that demonstrated an advanced level functionality, integration, performance (results and key performance indicators), and overall user experience advanced to the finalist round, where an independent panel of experts selected the winning projects.

Centrica Business Solutions supports more than 4,500 customer sites globally with energy insight, generation and optimization technology.

Working with IBM iX, Centrica Business Solutions set up configuration for its Drupal CMS. This included integration with Pardot and Salesforce. With Acquia, Centrica Business Solutions was able to execute multi-site capability and governance with Acquia Cloud Site Factory.
