Malta, NY – Centrica Business Solutions (Centrica) has been awarded a position on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) IV—a 10-year, $3 billion contract vehicle supporting energy and water infrastructure improvements across Army installations worldwide.
Already a leader in Business-to-Government (B2G) energy transition solutions, Centrica’s selection reinforces its expanding role in delivering mission-aligned, cost-effective infrastructure upgrades for public-sector clients. The contract was awarded by the USACE Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Alabama, and serves as a key tool for advancing the Army’s energy resilience, sustainability, and mission assurance objectives.
“This contract reflects Centrica’s growing role in the B2G market globally and our commitment to delivering solutions that directly support the Army’s mission,” said Joe Walsh, Vice President of Federal at Centrica Business Solutions. “Energy resilience is essential to operational readiness, and we are proud to support one of the world’s most mission-driven organizations in meeting that challenge—consistent with Centrica’s core values and our commitment to the energy transition.”
Centrica brings extensive global experience delivering distributed energy systems in complex, high-stakes environments—including for the U.S. military and the United Kingdom’s National Health Service. A recognized leader in designing, building, operating, and maintaining combined heat and power (CHP) systems, Centrica also offers integrated, financed solutions that include on-site renewables, battery storage, microgrids, advanced building controls, and high-efficiency mechanical system upgrades.
“This award enhances our ability to support the Department of Defense with technically sound, cost-effective solutions that strengthen energy assurance and infrastructure resilience with no upfront capital investment on the part of the government,” said Cassandra Moore, Head of CBS North America.
Centrica also holds a position on the U.S. Department of Energy’s Generation IV ESPC IDIQ contract, expanding its ability to serve federal customers across both major ESPC contracting platforms.
