Malta, NY – Centrica Business Solutions is delivering 14 MW of solar PV and EV-charging solutions across 16 schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), supporting the district's transition to 100% clean, renewable energy by 2040.
The program includes rooftop and carport solar PV, EV infrastructure, and 10 years of operations and maintenance (O&M). It advances LAUSD’s long-term strategy to scale districtwide clean-energy capacity toward more than 400 MW.

The Linked Learning program will turn this effort into a living classroom. Centrica Business Solutions will connect project milestones with career exploration, guest talks, site-based demonstrations, and age-appropriate classroom resources. LAUSD students and educators will gain hands-on exposure to clean-energy technologies, fostering real-world, problem-based learning and meaningful community engagement. “Students will see a renewable-energy project move from concept to equipment at their own school – delivering real benefits for the LAUSD community and inspiring the next generation of energy professionals,” said Dan Mitchell, Sales Leader at Centrica Business Solutions and part of the team bringing the project to life.
