Infographic: volatility and the road to net zero

We’re in a period of unprecedented volatility. The effects of the pandemic may be easing, but energy costs are rising. Organisations around the world are looking at the steps they can take to deal with the impact that rising energy costs will have on their business. Businesses can't lose sight of their net zero goals.

Science tells us we need net zero emissions in order to limit temperature rises to 1.5°C. Many governments and businesses have already set decarbonisation goals. Some are realising they need to be bolder, or act sooner. On the surface, it might seem like today’s volatile environment will hamper progress – but that doesn’t have to be the case. Instead, it should give organisations the impetus to explore ways to protect themselves against price rises and at the same time reduce their carbon emissions.
