Centrica Business Solutions is partnering with the public sector

Centrica Business Solutions have won a place on the Lexica Energy Performance Contract Framework.

Our place on the framework for the next two years (with the potential to extend to four) was secured following a competitive tendering process, led by the team at Centrica Business Solutions; Phil Bryant - Head of Public Sector Sales UK&I. This is key for the UK & Ireland business as it supports our journey to accelerate decarbonisation and help the public sector on its drive towards net zero.

Lexica is a specialised consultancy which is owned by, and proudly invests back into the NHS. Their award-winning EPC framework supports public sector clients in delivering large scale cost and carbon savings with guaranteed returns on investment. By working with Lexica we have an established route to contract for public bodies who must buy the services and products we offer through a compliant procurement route.

Some of the significant EPC projects we’ve won under the previous framework include:

  • Tees Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust
  • Royal Devon NHS Trust
  • Bedfordshire NHS Foundation Trust

Phil Bryant, comments “There was fantastic work all round by the project team who were involved in our bid. A lot of hard work and effort went into this and I’m pleased to see us with the opportunity to now further grow our pipeline of opportunities and continue our strategic relationship with Lexica.”

We are delighted to be awarded once again a place on the Lexica Framework, setup to support and drive decarbonisation through the Public Sector estate through an EPC led partnership approach. We are very enthusiastic about the opportunities that this affords us to deliver on our business strategy of supporting decarbonisation and moving the public sector on its journey to net zero.
Justin Jacober Managing Director UK&I, Centrica Business Solutions
Lexica runs a several leading frameworks including the Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) Framework, which has been updated in 2022. 2050 is an important deadline for reducing UK emissions and is only about 400 weeks away. Our suppliers will play an important role in this national effort through the EPC framework by helping public sector bodies to implement energy efficiency and local energy generation measures to their buildings and estates.
