LEO Pharma reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions
An on-site trigeneration system was installed to reduce energy costs and minimise CO2 emissions
Leo Pharma is an established leader in the Irish healthcare market in a number of key therapeutic areas such as dermatology and coagulation. The site in Crumlin has been in operation since 1961. In 2011, LEO Pharma decided to install a high efficiency trigeneration system on-site, to reduce energy costs and minimise site CO2 emissions.
Selected as a highly efficient energy solution provider to supply and install a trigeneration system including:
- 1,166kWe gas fired engine
- 540kWth heat recovery steam generator
- 350kWc absorption chiller
Full Turnkey scope of supply, from fuel input to electricity, heat and chilled water outputs. The system supports site resilience for heat, cooling and power.
